Is Large Population a Problem? | is large population an asset or liability ?

The number of people living on a particular place is called it's population and there are around 8 billion people living on the earth out which 16%  population lives in India.

But, Is our large population is a problem for us, yes it is but not always there are some advantages as well as disadvantages of our large population

Advantages of our large population

1.We have a large human capital.

Large population has advantage of having a large number of working people which helps it to develop in every field rapidly the need of calling people from outside nils down.

2.Large economy.

A large skilled and educated population helps in Rapid growth of country's economy they work in different field and every sector of economy booms and grows faster which leads to higher economic growth of the country.

3.Power of being a big market place.

Large population also work as a large number of consumers which means it as a larger number of customer, a country with the large number of customers and has a authority of being large marketplace and has many advantages over a country with a small population.

4.Higher number of innovative and creative people.

More people also means higher probability of large number of inventors and creative people which are asset for any country.

Disadvantages of large population

1. A greater requirement of natural resources.

Large population needs large amount of food ,clean water and land ,providing every resources to every person in sufficient amount is really a big and difficult task.

2.Providing a other basic facilities.

For converting a large population Into productive large population we need to provide other basic facilities also such as education, health care facilities etc. And providing all this facilities to large population is an easy task.

3.Increased competition in every field.

Large population also means a large competition in every field such as education, employment etc. And it becomes difficult to provide everyone the opportunity.

4.Pollution.

A large population leads to large amount of waste & pollution and management of pollution is one of the major and difficult task.

Such a large population can only be managed by providing everyone with the such resources that they can become productive for country.
And for reducing the population rate we need to take correct measures so that the dependency ratio also cannot  become high.
